DAY 1:

EXMOUTH / NINGALOO REEF

Ningaloo is known as one of the best places on earth to see and swim with whale sharks and manta rays. It is also a major breeding area for Hawksbill, Green and Loggerhead Turtles, which are seen daily in front of the camp. The aim is to inspire and provoke thought in the activities delivered and to increase awareness of the dangers that may impact on this wildly beautiful and pristine place.

DAYS 2 - 3:

NINGALOO REEF

When timed correctly, your primary activity will no doubt be snorkelling wth whale sharks.

With just a small group you head out on a boat trip with a difference. A spotter plane meanders overhead in search of the mighty whale sharks. Once one (or more!) is located, you are dropped in the water ahead of its path. Here you wait as a monstrous creature swims towards you. This is truly an amazing experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression. The excercise is repeated once the whale shark has swum by allowing for maximum time in the water. You will need to be a confident swimmer to make the most of this time as you will be in open water. Diving is not permitted in the vicinity of the whale sharks.

You may also choose to partake in a number of other activities. Go sea kayaking in the Blue Lagoon, a 5m deep natural aquarium where huge schools of fish, reef sharks and turtles swim among the coral formations. Drift snorkel just a few metres offshore and observe a wealth of life, with huge staghorn coral formations, anemones, clownfish, rays and sponge gardens.

Red kangaroos, wallaroos, rock wallabies and Gould’s goannas are resident in the park, while the birdlife includes pied butcherbirds, fairy wrens, kestrels, zebra finches, reef herons, waders, seabirds and the occasional emu that strolls through camp. Take a guided walk through the gorge with fossil bearing limestone formations and spectacular views back to the coast. Fishing from the camp can be arranged, as can marine wildlife cruises to locate manta rays, humpback whales, and dolphins.

In th evenings, star gazing is a must. Lie back on the beach and gaze at the Milky Way stretching from one horizon to the other.
